Jazz Band is an extracurricular ensemble consisted of select students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Jazz Band provides the opportunity for advanced students to learn and perform in a jazz ensemble setting. Students will learn to play in the various stylistic genres outside of the normal concert band setting such as Swing, Rock, Ballads, Latin, etc. All members of this ensemble (except piano, guitar, and bass members of the rhythm section) will need to be in a current concert band. Continued participation in this program is determined by passing grades in band and other required courses, re-evaluated each semester.
