Through performances at band events, football games, and parades, the Ashworth Band, under the leadership of Mr. Laramie Rodriguez, serves as a very visible facet of Ashworth Middle School. The Band is made up of just over 150 students, or about 30% of the student population at Ashworth.

The director, Mr. Laramie Rodriguez, who also attended Ashworth as a student, is a Gordon Central High School graduate, received his bachelor's degree in Music Education from the Kennesaw State University School of Music and his master's degree in Instrumental Conducting from The American Band College of Sam Houston State University.
